My Bucket List

As regular readers may notice, I love a list. I love clearly setting out what needs to be done and then relishing the sense of achievement as I cross things off.

Some of you may be familiar with my birthday list for the current year. However, there are plenty of other things that I want to do and see.

For one reason and another, I know I am not going to get to them this year, so I pulled together a Bucket List gaining inspiration from friends, family and the internet. I would love to think that when I look back on my life that I have acheived them all!

This week has reminded how precious life is and that we should take time to set goals and relish the opportunities that life presents us with. Is it so easier to get bogged down in the daily grind and forget how amazing this world really is.

I have managed a few off the list, but have plenty more to do, so hope that I get to live a long time!

What things are on your bucket list?

  1. I love this! It’s funny how different people are as well. Some of the stuff I thought oh yes!! need to do that! and others I was like huh, I’ve done that and never considered it as something special.I love how we all see the world in different ways.

One thing I would say is look at how you phrase your wish list, otherwise your internal achievement meter may change the goal post and you may never feel like you have succeeded in that wish. For example what do you see as a successful business? your first profit? lasting 5 years? starting one? How will you know when you have learnt to paint? What negative habits?

I’m really not being a bitch I promise, I set goals like this all the time and then wonder why I can never meet my own expectations!

love it, now inspired to write my own bucket list. xxx

    • For me it is all about pushing out of your comfort zone. Like you, I read some others and thought ‘no biggie’ but read others and was inspired!
Would love to see your bucket list!

Good point about making stuff measurable, it’s easy to set bland goals and not really be aware of when you have achieved them.

  2. Ironically I too am trying to compile a list of things I want to do within the next year my birthday is in June so I want to try and start doing things that are more achievable to do on the cheap/local ( i’m doing a 22 things I want to do/see before i’m 22 list )
A few things on my overall bucket list:
Ride in a hot air balloon!!! Something I got to do last year!!!
Visit Paris and the Eiffel tower
    Learn to drive
    Learn to swim
    Get married
    Buy a house
    See the northern lights
